Q-SYS
A recall from the Q-SYS design cues prepared camerawork. That path is being confirmed.
Q-SYS rooms are designed as one system, and the camera is one more thing the design already recalls. The intent is that a recall in the design cues prepared camerawork, so the integrator adds camerawork to a room without adding a second control surface or a second thing to support. This path is being confirmed in a working room, and until that closes it is a design rather than a claim.
How it connects
The Q-SYS design recalls a camera preset on the control network, and the software reads that recall as a cue. The software never joins the audio or the video path.
What it does
- When this path is confirmed, a recall in the Q-SYS design cues prepared camerawork, so the camera becomes one more thing the design already handles.
- When this path is confirmed, the integrator adds composed camerawork without adding a second control surface or a second system to support.
- When this path is confirmed, the people in the room start their meeting or session exactly as they do now, from the same controls.
- When this path is confirmed, a council chamber or meeting room can run prepared coverage unattended, from a recall the room already makes.
What it does not do
- It does not run today. The recall path is in evaluation and is being confirmed in a working room.
- It does not join the audio or the video path. The software never touches the signals that the Q-SYS design carries.
- It does not replace the Q-SYS design or its user controls. The design stays the one system the room runs on.
Setting it up
Share the room design
Tell us how the room is designed, which cameras it uses and how a session starts. Your integrator can send this. We tell you where the evaluation stands.
Compose the coverage
Your AV team composes the shots and moves the room needs, such as the chair, the speakers and the wide, and rehearses them in the empty room. Today they start from the computer running the software.
Add the recall when the path closes
When the path is confirmed, a camera preset recall in the design becomes the cue for the prepared camerawork. The room's user controls stay as they are.
Questions
Can a Q-SYS design cue the camerawork today?
Not yet. The recall path does not run today. It is in evaluation in a working room, and until it closes it is a design rather than a claim. Start the prepared camerawork from the computer running the software in the meantime.
Does the software join our audio or video path?
No. It drives the cameras on the control network and never joins the audio or the video path. The signals the Q-SYS design carries, and the recordings and meetings that use them, stay exactly as they are.
Is this suitable for a council chamber?
The design is built for rooms that run unattended. A recall the room already makes would start coverage your AV team prepared, and soft limits keep each camera inside the part of the room it may look at.
What does our integrator need to do?
When the path is confirmed, the integrator points a camera preset recall in the design at the software. The aim is to add camerawork without restructuring the design. We confirm the detail with your integrator when the evaluation closes.
